Michael Vick Faces Norfolk State in Unexpected Scheduling Twist—What It Means for the Season
Vick is set to start his second season at the helm of Norfolk State University after a 1-11 start to his coaching journey. Several elements of Michael Vick’s first season as an HBCU head coach were broadcast on the BET original docuseries, The Coach Vick Experience. The series, which featured eight episodes, ended it’s run at the end of March.
Now, Vick looks to change the tide of the program with an intriguing out-of-conference slate that includes games against both Virginia and Old Dominion University. The Cavaliers finished the season 11-3 and 7-1 in conference in 2025. They made it to the ACC Championship but lost to Duke, who is coached by Manny Diaz; however, they were able to end the year on a high note after beating 25th-ranked Missouri 13-7 in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
