Mike Florio Blasts Sean Hannity’s Cringeworthy Bill Belichick Interview—What He Missed Will Shock You
Granted, Hannity claimed to be a football fan during the interview. However, Florio didn’t buy it, specifically calling out when Hannity said, “You could have stayed in the NFL as long as you want to, I think. That’s my opinion. I think you know that, too. I’m sure you had offers.”
After all, Belichick didn’t receive any offers from other teams in three hiring cycles. During that stretch, he only got one interview, despite his past greatness.
The criticism wasn’t exclusive to Hannity, though. Florio noted that Belichick’s interview, which featured his Super Bowl trophies and rings around him, had the goal of “reminding current college football players (and, perhaps more importantly, their parents) that the current coach of the Tar Heels has more than a few pelts on the wall.”
