I was an offensive guy that he ended up switching to defense, and he gave me opportunity after opportunity along the way — not only as a graduate assistant, but as an assistant coach, special teams coordinator, and defensive coordinator.
“He believed in me, and I have nothing but respect and love for that man. If there’s any misconception that Morgan Scalley had anything to do with pushing him out, there’s no way. I was 100 percent loyal to him and have nothing but respect and love for him,” Scalley continued.
