Mystery Behind Ed Orgeron and Lane Kiffin’s Viral LSU Photo Sparks Speculation of Game-Changing Revelation

Orgeron has a long history with LSU. He attended LSU temporarily in 1979, but left the program to return home. He then spent the remainder of his playing career at Northwestern State. Orgeron would return to LSU in 2015, being hired as the defensive line coach. In 2016, when Les Miles was fired, Orgeron was named the interim head coach.

Coach O finished that season 6-2, leading LSU to a Citrus Bowl win and a top-15 ranking. That led to LSU removing the interim tag. Orgeron would win a national championship with the team in 2019, and go 67-47 in his time at LSU before being fired following the 2021 season.
