NBA’s 2026 Finals to Feature Mysterious Return of Beloved Court Art—What’s the Story Behind the Iconic Painting?
For years, NBA fans have demanded that the league make a very minor but important change.
Commissioner Adam Silver has listened and has agreed to their demands.
According to Shams Charania, the basketball court will look familiar for this year’s championship.
“The NBA will return to painting the Larry O’Brien trophy at center court and Finals script logo on the home team’s floor for the Finals starting this season, per sources. The last time the large trophy was painted on court was 2009,” Charania posted on X.
