Nebraska QB Commit’s Elite 11 MVP Win Sends Shockwaves Through College Football Landscape

Nebraska football turned heads to start May 2026 by landing prized quarterback Trae Taylor. Now the four-star and nation’s No. 3 quarterback for 2027 sparked buzz himself: Winning Elite 11 Most Valuable Player honors. He becomes the first to achieve that feat in the era of head coach Matt Rhule.

Taylor began winning Rivals MVP in Day 1 of the event Saturday. But he rose as the overall MVP Sunday which sparked a new debate online: If he’s deserving of a fifth star rating.
