Last season, Kent Johnson’s on-ice shooting percentage of 13.2 percent was the fourth-highest in the league. Sean Monahan’s 12.0 percent was 17th. Both have struggled to score out of the gate and not getting those same bounces is a big reason why. Johnson, in particular, ranks last on the Blue Jackets at 6.9 percent.
