The first big decision time for the Vancouver Canucks on Marco Rossi may be at the trade deadline
Thomas Drance of The Athletic: (mailbag) Can see Marco Rossi getting a shot at the 1C slot with Brock Boeser and maybe Jake DeBrusk (if he’s not traded this offseason). Rossi has two years left on his contract. They’ll need to make a decision on him, to either trade at the deadline or in the offseason, or look to sign him to a long-term extension next July. Maybe he does well and someone makes a huge trade offer for him, but think the odds of him getting a five- or six-year extension are more likely.
