Some potential targets for the Ottawa Senators, and two players who could be available
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: The Ottawa Senators’ top three priorities this offseason are a top-six forward to play with Tim Stutzle, a top-four right-handed defenseman to play with Thomas Chabot, and a backup goalie that can play 35 games.
The Senators are willing to trade defenseman Jordan Spence, and forward Fabian Zetterlund could be available. He has three years left on his deal at $4.275 million. The Senators’ prospect pool isn’t strong. Teams call about Carter Yakemchuk, but he’ll likely start the year with the Sens. They re-signed Stephen Halliday, who could be their fourth-line center.
