NHL Shockwave: Quinn Hughes’ Surprising Move from Vancouver to Minnesota Sends Ripples Through the League
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired forwards Marco Rossi and Liam Öhgren, defenceman Zeev Buium and a first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for defenceman Quinn Hughes.

Canucks President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford, in a press release, said, “We would like to thank Quinn for his time with the Vancouver Canucks. Quinn is a great person, a great player, and one of the greatest Canucks of all time. With the circumstances surrounding JT and now Quinn, we are fortunate to acquire these very good young players from Minnesota.”
