While President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford poured gasoline on fire with his comments about Quinn Hughes wanting to play with his brothers, the Canucks season is going to determine a lot for the eldest Hughes brother.
Not to mention, Quinn Hughes has stated he is committed to the Vancouver Canucks and that everyone would find out his decision come July 1st, 2026, when he is eligible for an extension. Everyone is linking him to the New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers, but how will they want to overpay now with no guarantee of an extension in place?
