Oregon Shocks Texas and Georgia to Secure Elite 4-Star Safety Recruit—What This Means for College Football Rivalries
Oregon football stretched its impressive recruiting blitz into NFL Draft weekend. First the Ducks landed five-star quarterback Will Mencl. Now Dan Lanning and his coaching staff just beat Texas and Georgia for four-star safety Semaj Stanford.
The native of Broken Arrow, OK., revealed his decision to join the Big Ten power via Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals. He also said “SCO DUCKS” in his message.
Stanford to Oregon started trending up before Thursday. The 5-foot-10 safety told Duck Territory 247 that his visit to Eugene “exceeded” his expectations. He also took a liking to defensive coordinator Chris Hampton.
