Oregon’s Season Takes a Devastating Turn: Starter’s Injury Sends Shockwaves Through Team
Oregon’s offensive line suffered an unfortunate setback Saturday when junior guard Trent Ferguson went down with a knee injury during the Ducks’ 39-31 loss to Oklahoma State. On Monday, head coach Dan Lanning confirmed the severity of the injury, announcing that Ferguson will miss the remainder of the season.
Ferguson, a 6-foot-7, 322-pound offensive lineman, made his first career start for Oregon against the Cowboys at left guard. He played 12 snaps in the loss after appearing in all 15 games during his sophomore season. Ferguson redshirted in 2024 after joining the Ducks as a three-star recruit from West Salem High School in Oregon in the 2024 recruiting class.
