Patriots’ Mike Vrabel Breaks Silence on Controversial Photos with Dianna Russini: What Happened Behind Closed Doors?
A week after NFL insider Dianna Russini resigned from her post at The Athletic in the wake of photos surfacing that pictured her with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel at a luxury hotel in Arizona, Vrabel talked to reporters Tuesday to address the situation.
It was the first time he’s spoken about the matter since issuing a statement to the New York Post’s Page Six, which, on April 7, published images of Russini and Vrabel holding hands, hugging and hanging poolside.
“I’ve had some difficult conversations with people that I care about, with my family, the organization, the coaches, the players,” said Vrabel, who earned his second AP NFL Coach of the Year award last season while leading the Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance.
