Texans Pull Off Surprise Move, Land LB Marte Mapu in Blockbuster Trade
The NFL Draft hasn’t started yet, but that doesn’t the Texans can’t get busy. Jonathan M Alexander just reported that the New England Patriots are sending a 2027 seventh-round pick and LB Marte Mapu to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick:

A former third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Mapu never made the splash the the Patriots (and NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah) were expecting. He had been informed by the Patriots that he would be released today, but instead of becoming a free agent, the Houston Texans swooped in and picked him up for a late-round pick swap.
