Steve Sarkisian and Texas got a great prospect with Briceson Thrower coming over to the Longhorns in 2027.
In 2025, Thrower finished his junior season with 32 receptions for 529 yards and five touchdowns on 16.5 yards per catch, per MaxPreps. For the year prior, he caught eight passes for 162 yards as a sophomore.
The Longhorns look to have a resurgence as a national championship contender in 2026. 2025 saw them underachieve expectations. They entered the 2025 season as the consensus preseason number 1 team, but losses to Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia kept them from the College Football Playoff.
