Texas Longhorns Secure Explosive Big Ten Linebacker: Could This Be the Game-Changer They’ve Been Waiting For?

The Texas Longhorns picked up another addition to their 2026 recruiting class on Thursday as former Michigan State Spartans linebacker Darius Snow committed following his visit to the Forty Acres. The 6-foot-1, 230-pound defender joins Texas for his seventh and final collegiate season after being granted an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA.

A veteran of 48 games and 10 starts, Snow brings 1,711 snaps of multi-role experience to Austin. He has been utilized in a wide range of roles, including 581 snaps in the slot, 324 in the box, 183 along the defensive line, as well as duties at safety and corner, in addition to more than 500 snaps on special teams. Over his career, he recorded 161 tackles (94 solo), 9.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, three pass breakups, and a fumble recovery. Advanced metrics credit him with 55 defensive stops, five pressures, and just one penalty.
