Texas Pulls Off Unexpected Recruiting Coup, Leaving Ole Miss Stunned
RJ Hudson was the other linebacker who recently flipped. He was comitted to Clemson initially, but went on an official visit to Texas and decided to change. Meanwhile, Crenshaw spoke about the decision to flip his commitment, per Justin Wells of Inside Texas.
“What really stands out about Texas is the culture, the intensity, and how they develop their players,” Crenshaw told IT. “I like how Coach (Johnny) Nansen sees my versatility and how I could fit into their defense. The entire coaching staff made me feel valued, and you can tell they’re serious about winning and developing guys for the next level. I know I was talk with my dad and this is a big decision and we are going to make sure it’s the right fit, whether we stay committed to GT or flip. This visit gave me a lot to think about, but I’m not rushing any decisions.”
