However, Castellanos avoids getting denied a new playing opportunity compared to SEC schools. The SEC enforced its own ruling that prohibits athletes from coming back after previously declaring for the NFL Draft, plus other major sports drafts. This rule also includes players who signed a previous contract with a pro sports franchise. The Big Ten also followed suit with a similar ruling.
