Vincic is no stranger to big games, having refereed Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 Champions League final at Wembley.
He also took charge of several matches in Europe’s top club competition last season, including Bayern Munich’s 4-3 win over Los Blancos in the second leg of their quarter-final.
The experienced referee will be familiar to Chelsea fans, too, having officiated their last-16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain, which they lost 3-0, and their 3-0 victory over Barcelona in the league phase.
