Terrance Carter Jr. is coming off a 55-reception year in 2025 for Texas Tech. He ended up with 624 yards and five touchdown receptions as well. Carter is in an interesting situation because of the quarterback situation for the Red Raiders. With Brendan Sorsby not eligible, the expectation was Will Hammond would be QB1 for the Red Raiders. Hammond is coming off a torn ACL in 2025, and if Hammond does not come back to form, it could be an issue for Carter. Further, the Red Raiders brought in Tommy Castellanos as a transfer. If Castellanos ends up as the starter, Texas Tech could move to more of a run-first offense, which could hurt the value of Carter.
