Utah’s Unexpected Apology to Pat McAfee Sparks Questions About What Really Happened on College GameDay
McAfee called out Utah for a video depicting students doing impressions of him. Yet felt the video went off the rails.
“They put out a video, keep doing impressions of Pat McAfee. And one kid goes, ‘Oh, he’s corny.’ Another kid calls me creepy. If these kids would have done this on their own blogs, all good. I mean, everybody’s taking shots at me anyways for everything. I get it,” he said on his show.
But again, he didn’t respect the university’s account posting that video.
Utah football created a new verbal attacker not named BYU or anyone from the Big 12. Pat McAfee called out the Utes fan base over his treatment during Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay experience. That sparked a statement from the university on Monday. McAfee called out Utah over what he described as a tasteless video from the university’s social media site mocking him.
