As Belichick was introduced to the North Carolina faithful at Kenan Memorial Stadium to take his spot at first base, the over 50,000 fans gave him a massive ovation. He then joined in on the fun, challenging a double-play call at first base. He argued with the umpire and threw a yellow challenge flag, leading to the Bananas’ runner being called safe.
Saturday was the first of two games being played in Chapel Hill for the Banana’s, both of them being sell-out crowds, which has become customary for the travelling show.
