Will Anderson Jr.’s $150 Million Texans Extension: Game-Changer or Risky Bet?
Star pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. reportedly agreed to a three-year, $150 million contract extension with the Houston Texans on Friday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With a $50 million annual salary, including $134 million guaranteed, Anderson is now the NFL’s highest-paid non-quarterback ever, per Rapoport. The deal also reportedly includes a no-trade clause.
The Texans have now locked up both of their edge rushers for a few more seasons after signing Danielle Hunter to a one-year, $40.1 million contract extension in March.
