4-Star WR’s Shocking Flip: Why Washington Edged Out Texas A&M in a Stunning Recruitment Twist

Tyson’s commitment gives Washington four wide receiver pledges in the 2027 cycle, joining Braylon Pope, Tre Moore and fellow Arizona product Zerek Sidney. His addition strengthens a receiver group that has become a recruiting priority under Cummings, who has secured 13 wide receiver commitments since the Huskies’ 2025 recruiting class.

Tyson brings both production and versatility. Although he appeared in only seven games during his junior season, he recorded 37 receptions for 448 yards and seven touchdowns. Across three high school seasons, Tyson has accumulated 109 receptions, 1,448 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.
