Simon Edvinsson’s Private Meeting with Red Wings GM Sparks Speculation — What Dylan Larkin Revealed Next Will Surprise You
It’s buzzing across the hockey world this week as Detroit’s young defenseman Simon Edvinsson finds himself at the center of considerable trade speculation. Just last Thursday and Friday, Edvinsson sat down face-to-face with Red Wings GM Shawn Horcoff and his agent J.P. Barry for what can only be described as a high-stakes negotiation marathon. According to insider Pierre LeBrun, while no deal was struck, the dialogue laid everything bare—highlighting that Edvinsson is growing restless with the drawn-out process and is seriously entertaining the idea of a trade, though he hasn’t gone so far as formally requesting one like teammate Dylan Larkin. Horcoff remains hopeful to keep Edvinsson in Detroit’s fold, but with as many as ten teams, including notable names like the San Jose Sharks and Boston Bruins, showing interest, the tension is palpable. Meanwhile, the chatter around Larkin has also ramped up, adding another layer to Detroit’s roster chess game. This dynamic situation is far from over—and trust me, it’s a story worth watching closely.
