Simon Edvinsson’s Private Meeting with Red Wings GM Sparks Speculation — What Dylan Larkin Revealed Next Will Surprise You
Up to 10 teams are interested in Simon Edvinsson, who met with GM Shawn Horcoff last week
TSN: Detroit Red Wings GM Shawn Horcoff had a face-to-face meeting with Simon Edvinsson and his agent J.P. Barry last Thursday and Friday, according to Pierre LeBrun, who added:
“Everyone was laying their cards on the table with no resolution, of course, otherwise we wouldn’t be talking about it right now.
But it’s a clear understanding, especially where the player is. He feels this has dragged out so long that the most logical option for him is probably a trade. He stopped short of making an official trade request like his teammate Dylan Larkin did.”
Horcoff hopes to re-sign Edvinsson, but there have been up to 10 teams interested, including the San Jose Sharks and Boston Bruins.
