Florida Football Drops Surprise Verdict on Vernell Brown III Ahead of Georgia Showdown
The Gators made their final call Saturday afternoon, ending any possibility of Brown returning against the Bulldogs.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel relayed the decision on X, formerly Twitter, after Brown had been limited during Florida’s Friday workout.
“Vernell Brown III is out for Florida. He hasn’t played since Sept. 26. We’d reported this morning he’d been limited in Florida’s Friday workout.”
Brown has been sidelined since sustaining a low-grade knee strain during Florida’s September 26 victory over Ole Miss. Saturday will now become his fourth consecutive missed game.
