Florida Football Drops Surprise Verdict on Vernell Brown III Ahead of Georgia Showdown
The Gators will now head into the SEC rivalry game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium without Brown as they try to end Georgia’s five-game winning streak in the series.
Florida football will be without sophomore wide receiver Vernell Brown III when the No. 17 Gators face No. 3 Georgia in Saturday’s rivalry matchup. Brown spent much of the week appearing close to a return after missing three straight games with a knee injury. Florida initially listed him as probable, but his status became less certain after he was downgraded to questionable Friday.
