From HBCU Unknown to WWE Spotlight: The Untold Journey of Trick Williams to Wrestlemania Glory
Williams then departed to head back to his home state of South Carolina. Ultimately, he walked on to play for the Gamecock football team, which was the alma mater of his father and featured his two brothers who were also on the squad. He ultimately graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s in physical education in 2016 and became a teacher in the South Carolina area.
In an interview with Wrestlezone in 2024, he spoke about how football prepared him for his wrestling future.
