Georgia running back Dante Dowdell did not need a lot of carries to make in impact on G-Day. The senior transfer from Kentucky had just six carries, but he finished with a game-high 61 rushing yards and a touchdown. The majority of Dowdell’s yardage came on two carries. He had the scrimmages two longest runs (27 and 28 yards).
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound running back showed he has the ability to rip off big plays and may be in line for a larger role than just a goal line back. Dowdell could have a larger role than Josh McCray did last season.
