Grambling Unveils Shocking Return of HBCU Legend to Mickey Joseph’s Coaching Dream Team
Grambling State is bringing back a recognizable name to join Mickey Joseph’s coaching staff. Per a release by the institution on Monday, legendary quarterback Bruce Eugene is returning to the institution as quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator. Before officially stepping into the role, Eugene served as a scouting assistant on Syracuse University’s staff.
In a statement, Joseph spoke glowingly about the return of Eugene.
“Bruce is a special addition to our coaching staff because he understands what it means to be a quarterback at Grambling State,” Joseph said. “He has been in that position, he has had tremendous success at this level, and he understands the expectations that come with playing quarterback at Grambling. His knowledge of the position, his experience and his passion for this university will be tremendous assets for us. We are excited to welcome Bruce back home.”
