HBCU Legacy Bowl’s Unexpected Move Sparks Speculation—What’s Behind the Sudden Change?
The HBCU Legacy Bowl, which was created in 2021, is one of the largest events for draft-eligible HBCU prospects. HBCU prospects from across the four HBCU conferences, as well as Hampton University, North Carolina A&T, Tennessee State, and the NAIA, are placed on two different teams: Team Gaither and Team Robinson. The team names are inspired by legendary HBCU coaches Eddie G. Robinson and Jake Gaither. They play an exhibition game on Saturday to showcase their skills and have individual drills attended by NFL scouts from all 32 teams.
