How Clemson’s Christopher Vizzina Shook Up the Game by Starting a Freshman QB Against Bill Belichick and UNC
After the Clemson football team’s embarrassing loss to the LSU Tigers in Week 1, the team would bounce back with a 22-7 win over Georgia Southern on Saturday, though a quarterback injury will change the plans for the program. With Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney starting Christopher Vizzina to begin the season, he won’t be able to play in next Saturday’s contest against the University of North Carolina.
According to Matt Zenitz at CBS Sports, Vizzina sustained an elbow injury in Saturday’s win over Georgia Southern, with the expectation being that he misses Week 3. Meaning freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds will be the starter for the Tigers.
