Juventus Eyes Emiliano Martinez’s Future as Aston Villa Secretly Unveils Potential Replacement—What’s Next?
Juventus have once again checked on Emiliano Martinez‘s situation at Aston Villa, as the Bianconeri continue to explore the goalkeeper market ahead of the new season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Argentine World Cup winner remains one of several names on Juventus‘ shortlist, alongside Ederson and Guglielmo Vicario, as the club weighs its options between the posts.
While Juventus keep monitoring the situation, Aston Villa are already working on a plan to replace Martinez if he were to leave. After a proposed move for Zion Suzuki to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed, Villa moved quickly and opened formal talks with Parma over the Japan international goalkeeper.
According to Romano, Aston Villa are prepared to match the package PSG had previously offered for Suzuki — a deal worth around €35 million plus a long-term contract — as talks between the two clubs continue.
