Kentucky Stuns Tennessee: Inside the High-Stakes Showdown for Top 4-Star D-Lineman Recruit
Under first-year head coach Will Stein, Kentucky’s recruiting success keeps snowballing, as the Wildcats landed a commitment Sunday from four-star defensive lineman Malachi Brown, one of the crown jewels of the state’s talent pool. The Corbin native announced his decision following an official visit to Lexington, adding another piece to a 2027 recruiting class that shows no signs of slowing down.
Brown selected Kentucky after considering several major programs, including Louisville, Miami, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Tennessee. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman is the No. 273 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 29 defensive lineman nationally, and the No. 4 player in Kentucky, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
