Michigan would not have been in the situation to need a Hail Mary to win the game had Bryce Underwood played better. This has led to the possibility that Underwood could be benched by Michigan.
Now, comments about the backup quarterback Tommy Carr, made by Kyle Whittingham in the spring, are being looked at and could be hinting at a potential benching of Underwood, per Matt Hayes of USA Today.
