Penn State Pulls Off Stunning Recruitment Upset, Snags 4-Star D-Lineman Away from Kentucky and Virginia
Penn State football is building the 2027 College Football Recruiting class after the Matt Campbell hire. The Nittany Lions already landed two prospects on April 19. Now PSU won over a four-star talent from the grip of Kentucky and Virginia in Stanley Montgomery.
Montgomery confirmed his commitment to Penn State Thursday afternoon via Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals. Campbell and the coaching staff pull in the nation’s No. 9 overall defensive lineman in the process.
Campbell visited Montgomery at Archbishop Ryan High in Philadelphia during January according to the national outlet. Then defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe won him over with his practice energy.
