College Football Playoff expansion has been all the talk this offseason, even though the new 12-team field has only been in effect for two seasons. Now, the power conferences want even more teams and an even longer postseason, and they are going to get it.

The CFP seems poised to expand to 24 teams in a system that would eliminate conference championship games and give some of the bigger conferences a certain number of auto-bids into the field. While the change is not final and isn’t going to be in effect next season at the very least, fans have taken issue with the proposed removal of conference title games.
