Sherrone Moore’s Sentencing Takes Unexpected Turn: Will Jail Time Be Spared?
The legal drama surrounding former Michigan Football head coach Sherrone Moore is taking another step towards its conclusion. In March, Moore pleaded no-contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a December 10 incident that led to his dismissal from Michigan.
On Tuesday, Moore is scheduled to be sentenced on the two charges, but is expected to avoid jail time, according to Dan Wetzel of ESPN.
“Ex-Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is scheduled to be sentenced at 2 p.m. on two misdemeanors — malicious use of a telecommunications device involving a domestic relationship and trespassing. Moore pleaded no contest last month as part of a plea deal following a Dec. 10 incident at the apartment of a former staff member whom he had a relationship with. Moore could receive up to six months in jail, but will likely avoid incarceration,” Whetzel posted on X, formerly Twitter.
