Sherrone Moore’s Sentencing Takes Unexpected Turn: Will Jail Time Be Spared?
Moore joined the Michigan staff as the tight ends coach in 2018 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021. He would serve as the acting head coach during Jim Harbaugh’s suspensions in 2023, before becoming the head coach in 2024 when Harbaugh left for the Chargers.
At some point during his tenure with Michigan, an inappropriate relationship between Moore and Paige Shiver developed, which came to light in December 2025. Moore was terminated by the University of Michigan, and hours later, he was arrested. Moore was charged with felony third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering.
