Son of 1998 National Champion Makes Shocking Transfer to LSU—What This Means for the Team’s Future
Kaden Martin, originally from Buford (Georgia) High School, was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class and was ranked No. 1,388 overall in the Rivals Industry Ranking, which combines evaluations from major recruiting services. He initially committed to the Miami Hurricanes, where he also played baseball and appeared in two games. Martin later transferred to East Tennessee State, where he continued baseball, before moving to Middle Tennessee State and transitioning back to football. Across his college career, he has not appeared in a football game and spent time as a scout team player at MTSU, with no game appearances in 2025.
