Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby Cleared for 2026 Season Amid Shocking Gambling Controversy—What’s Next?
Now, Texas Tech can turn its full focus to the fall, where it will have one of the best rosters in all of college football and now has a quarterback to match. Last season at Cincinnati, Sorsby played well enough to garner some NFL Draft hype, but a roughly $6 million NIL package helped lure him across the conference to the Red Raiders.
If he can continue to play at that level with a better supporting cast around him, Sorsby has a chance to see his draft stock shoot up even more in 2026. With his experience and physical tools, a rise into the first round next spring isn’t out of the question if teams are able to look past this gambling case.
