UCLA Lands Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year in Transfer Portal Bombshell—What This Means for the Bruins’ Championship Hopes
Hendrick was a major player for JMU last year, helping the team make it to the College Football Playoffs. Now, Chesney and Hendrick are hopeful that they can bring the same success to UCLA this year. Chesney discussed the potential for success in his first year at UCLA at Big Ten Media Days.
“Not really interested in putting artificial limits on ourselves, or making programs on outcomes that have to be earned,” he said. “I know what we will do is attack every single day with urgency and relentlessness and do the work. That’s the most important thing we can do, is go about it on a day-to-day basis. We’re not going to win on Saturdays because of only what we do on those Saturdays. Our players understand that.”
