Unveiled: Shocking 2026 NFL Super Bowl Favorites According to the Opta Supercomputer
This offseason has been all about surrounding Maye with the talent that’s necessary to take the final step. At the end of the 2025 season, the Patriots had the 17th-best non-QB roster in the Opta ratings. This season, they’re starting with the seventh best following the additions of wide receivers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs and offensive guard Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Houston Texans
- Rating: 12.4 (No. 8)
- xWins: 9.7
- Make Playoffs: 71.1%
- Win Division: 38.7%
- Super Bowl Champ: 6.5%
The no-question part of the Texans is their defense. It’s dropped from No. 1 to 2 in our ratings, but that’s because the Rams acquired two of the best players in the league, not because the Texans lost anything of note. Overall, the team is about as talented as it was at the end of the 2025 season.
