Urban Meyer Warns: Is the 24-Team College Football Playoff a Recipe for Chaos?
One of the biggest conversations in the college football landscape is how many teams should be allowed in the playoff field each year. The committee has voted 12 teams into the mix over the last couple of seasons, but that still hasn’t stopped controversy from arising, including from the Notre Dame Irish, who complained ad nauseam after being left out in 2025.
This has caused some to want to expand the playoff field even more, perhaps even doubling it to 24 teams, but one person who is not on board with that idea is legendary college football coach Urban Meyer.
