Haywood announced his commitment to the Red Raiders on Monday, per On3 insider Hayes Fawcett. Hailing from Denton, Texas, he chose the Red Raiders over the Kansas State Wildcats, Arizona Wildcats and Colorado Buffaloes.
“Your ambition is like a hidden current it will carry you to your purpose let it!” Haywood said to Fawcett.
Haywood stands out as a three-star defender with an 86 score on 247Sports. He ranks 126th among players at his position and 143rd among players from the state of Texas. His composite score of 0.8820 puts him at 70th, 83rd and 587th nationall in those respective categories.
