Why Did Tennessee Swap Morgan Wallen for a Dolly Parton Song in Their Furman Blowout?
Tennessee football fans had an emotional moment during the Volunteers’ season-opening blowout win over Furman on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
In the fourth quarter, with Tennessee leading by a wide margin, the Vols changed their usual gameday music. They played the late Dolly Parton’s “My Tennessee Mountain Home” instead of Morgan Wallen’s “The Way I Talk,” making it a special moment for the crowd of over 100,000 fans.
Sam Granville, sports director at 6 News, recorded the scene and posted it on social media.
