2027 NFL Draft QB Rankings Shake-Up: Drew Mestemaker’s Unstoppable Rise and LaNorris Sellers’ Surprising Surge Threaten the Status Quo
Lindsey didn’t have great day on Saturday, which is the case for most quarterbacks going up against the Iowa defense. But he showed some escapability and some athleticism that hasn’t been a big part of his profile, and he used that on the 39-yard completion to Jalen Smith that set up the game-winning field goal for the Gophers. Lindsey’s ceiling is probably not much higher than this, but he is playing some pretty good ball.

Jayden Maiava had a very tough day on Saturday night, and he has shown too many holes in his game to go with his already limited physical tools. Nico Iamaleava is inconsistent and is now coming off of an ACL tear. C.J. Bailey is very raw and is probably more of a 2028 prospect. Julian Sayin’s limited physical profile has now been supplemented with some scratchy play against good defenses, and now a right elbow injury.
