2027 NFL Draft QB Rankings Shake-Up: Drew Mestemaker’s Unstoppable Rise and LaNorris Sellers’ Surprising Surge Threaten the Status Quo
How much higher can Mensah climb on this list, given his satisfactory but unspectacular physical traits? Probably not much higher. He will never have Mestemaker’s arm or Sellers’ athleticism, but he has proven that he can run an efficient offense at multiple schools with multiple coordinators. That counts for something.
4. LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina
Last week: 7
Sellers is really starting to look like the player that many hoped he would be coming into the 2025 season, and he is skyrocketing up this list as a result. On Saturday against an elite Tennessee defense, Sellers finished 18-of-32 with 210 yards and one touchdown with one interception. On the ground, he ran for 96 yards and two scores on 18 carries, and his scrambling ability was what kept this Gamecocks offense on schedule for much of the game. On top of that, his individual effort to score the game-tying touchdown is just something that most quarterbacks wouldn’t be capable of doing.
